Velcro Show 2009
December 05 — December 20 2009
An open exhibition for professional and amateur photographers, and non-photographers as well.
Composition Gallery presents The Velcro Show 2009, a photography exhibition open to everyone. An opening reception will be held on Saturday December 5th from 7 to 10 pm.
This is the 4th annual edition of what is our very popular version of a pin-up show. If you have a photographic image that you've taken, or found, and you think it has artistic merit, bring it in and we'll stick it on the wall; or take a new picture especially for the show. And don't worry, we'll have some artist tape on hand to protect your image from the velcro glue. Photographs will be on display during regular gallery hours through Sunday December 20th.
There is a $5 entry fee for each photograph and the limit is 10. Images should be unframed, unmatted, and no larger than 16 X 20 inches, and can be priced to sell or not. Photos should be priced affordably to reflect the inclusive nature of the show. All prints will be hung as received. Title, photographer credit, and price should be clearly labeled on the border of the print or otherwise visible. Purchases are subject to sales tax and images for sale will be considered consigned merchandise. The gallery will retain a 20% commission on sold photos.
Bring your image(s) by the gallery during regular business hours between now and Sunday November 29th. Gallery hours and directions are at www.compositiongallery.com. Those of you who are not in the Atlanta area are welcome to send a small print and a check in the mail, or you can send a check and email me a hi res j-peg, then I can make a small print here. Feel free to forward this e-mail to anyone who may be interested. We'll send a reminder as the date approaches. We appreciate your participation and look forward to seeing your work. Thank you.
