Georgia to Georgia
(Atlanta, GA) - Women in Focus presents "Georgia to Georgia", a landmark exhibition exchange between women photographers of the Contemporary Art Club (CAC) in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, and Atlanta's Women in Focus. This photographic event is being held in honor of "International Women's Month" and is being sponsored by Showcase, Thompson's Frame & Gallery, and Blick Art Materials. The exhibitions in Atlanta will take place in three different venues: The Brezler Gallery, Spruill Gallery, and Composition Gallery.
Composition Gallery, in Candler Park, will be hosting work from Women in Focus members beginning with an opening reception on Saturday April 22 from 7 to 10 PM, and continuing through Sunday June 18th. Gallery hours are 3 to 7 PM Fridays, 11 AM to 7 PM Saturdays, and Sundays Noon to 6 PM.
Duplicates of these photographs, which were selected by Levette Bagwell from the Atlanta Journal Constitution, will be exhibited at the N Gallery, 17a Shavteli Street in downtown Tbilisi.
Composition is also featuring Georgian photographer Natela Grigalashvili.
