Landon Taylor
Unconquered: Images of Cuba
January 13 — March 04 2007
Landon Taylor was born in McEwen, Tennessee in 1979. He graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Minor in Photography. Landon has traveled extensively, in his role as Communications Director for United Methodist Volunteers in Mission. His travels have helped to develop his photographic style, allowing him to capture people and places authentically.
He traveled to Cuba in the Spring of 2005 and the Summer of 2006, spending time in Havana, Santa Clara, Guarda La Vaca, and the province of Holguin. “The people of Cuba are committed, creative and warm,” he says, “and quite proud of their country and heritage. My hope is that these photographs capture a small part of that spirit.”
