July 21 — August 19 2007
Frank Mullen passed away on May 9th, 2009. Frank was much loved and respected, and we wish to express our condolences and our thanks for his contribution to our gallery and to Atlanta's artistic community. He had over twenty years experience photographing musicians and celebrities, and his love of music and experience as a performer enabled him to capture the excitement and passion of live performance. Frank’s music photography appeared regularly in Rolling Stone, Spin, NME, Blender, and Mojo, just to name a few; and his event and celebrity work has been featured in hundreds of publications worldwide, including Newsweek, Playboy, Vogue, and the Wall Street Journal. His images are part of many private collections, including those of Marty Stuart, Marilyn Manson, and Jermaine Dupri; and his work is displayed in the permanent collection of the Experience Music Project in Seattle. He provided cover art for Nashville Pussy's cd Get Some, and contributed to the following books: PUNK: The Whole Story, CBGB and OMFUG: Thirty Years from the Home of Underground Rock, and Dita Von Teese: Burlesque and the Art of the Teese. Frank’s clients included ASCAP, American Express, BMI, Ford, and dozens of major and indie record labels.
