Marta Dobrzeniecka
Marta Dobrzeniecka was born in Poland in 1977, and during a trip back there in 1995, she discovered an affinity for photography. It was at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, where she began to realize her potential, in both black and white portraiture and digital image manipulation. Her portraits aspire to capture the truthfulness of ordinary moments. In her current work, she combines computer-enhanced symbolic elements with traditional photography, to create elegant and powerful works of art. In 2000, Marta received an award of Honorable Mention from the Photographers Forum 20th Annual Collage Photography Competition. Her work has been featured in two recent exhibitions at the Atlanta Photography Group Gallery: "Emerging Visions" and the prestigious "Fay Gold Selects" show. She works as a freelance photographer here in Atlanta.
